Maybe one of the most talked about
places in all of South Florida, the Delano and
the Blue Door Restaurant attract more out-of-towners
than the Marlins (our professional baseball team).
Known as the place to be spotted in, the Blue
Door has a menu that is as chic as its customers.
They have just opened a pool-side bar/grill for
outdoor dining. The Delano has made dining pool-side
uber-chic. The menus at both Delano outlets are
decadent upscale, expensive, and well worth the
cost if you are looking to be seen with the "in"
crowd. Also, world famous chef Claude Troisgros
has recently taken over in the kitchen. Best known
for giant ravioli stuffed with a mousseline of
taro root in a sea of wild-mushroom foam, this
fine dining restaurant offers an eclectic French
and South American cuisine. Expect the average
entrée to cost over $30.

If you are looking for Rolex-wearin'
Mister (or Miss) right, this is the place to come
for the 5:00 happy hour. Pull up in your Yacht
or Mercedes and wear all your "glitter-baubles"
because this place has the atmosphere, food, and
clientele that Fab-Florida is known for. Try the
Island-influenced specialties such as...Bimini
bread (which has been famous here since the restaurant
first opened back in the early 80s), conch chowder,
Jamaican style ribs, and the grilled Mahi-Mahi.
This upscale restaurant offers guests American
meals an emphasis on pasta, seafood and steaks.
Expect the average entrée to cost between $12
and $20, and people for the most part dress casual,
but fashionable.

Restaurant Review
What can be said about Florida's greatest chef that
hasn't been said before. Norman Van Aken's menu
is cutting edge, and the ambiance at his restaurant
is first rate. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly,
and they'll tell you without hesitation what their
favorite menu items are. P'lla's are always a hit,
and Norman has become famous for the dish of "rhum-"
and pepper-painted grouper that is set atop a pool
of mango and habenero. Split one with a friend though.
With culinary talents focused on contemporary European,
Spanish and French fare, this is an upscale restaurant.
Expect the average entrée to cost over $30, and
you'll be fine if dressed casual.
